Nutritious Golden Milk
If you like chai tea, you will LOVE Golden Milk. It is nutritious and delicious. We love drinking it before bed. This is how our family makes Golden Milk:
We use a combination of lots of different recipes from different sites that we have found.
Step 1: Making Turmeric Paste:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of Turmeric
1/2 cup of Water
Put all ingredients in a small saucepan and stir over gentle heat 7-10 minutes
Store paste in a small glass container for up to two weeks. You will not use all the Turmeric paste at this time, and each time you make it will be super easy after making the paste once every two weeks.
Step 2: Making it into Nutritious Golden Milk
Ingredients:
2 Cups Coconut Milk (we mix raw milk with coconut milk)
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Clove
1-2 tsp. Coconut Oil
1 tsp-1 TBSP Turmeric paste (we use 1 TBSP)
1-2 tsp. Chopped Ginger or Dried, Chopped Ginger
6-10 Black Peppercorns
1 Pinch of Stevia or Raw Honey
Put in small sauce pan and stir until it is warm on low heat
Simmer 10 minutes and stir occasionally
Strain through fine strainer to strain spices out
Pour into 2 glasses
Add sprinkled cinnamon over the top when finished
