Laundry Day

My kids love our old fashioned laundry day and so do I.....

-The clothes get really clean

-The kids get really clean

-Old fashioned fun

-No more stains

We generally put all of our stained clothes in our big washtub, and about once a month have a laundry day. We choose a warmer day to do this (we may go longer in the winter), but, it is lots of fun!

What you need:

  • A washtub or two if you want one for rinsing too

  • Scrub Board

  • Clothes Rack or line

  • Bar of Soap

  • AmbEric Family Farm's amazing stain remover and laundry detergent

  • Hot/Warm Water

  • Plunger (optional)

What to do:

  • We fill the washtub with warm or hot water

  • Put about 2 scoops of laundry detergent in the water

  • Soak the clothes

  • Begin with plunging them to work on those stains

  • Pull one item at a time up and onto the scrub board to scrub with soap (we may also sprinkle a very small amt. of detergent on the clothes for the really tough stains)

  • Rinse the stain-removed clothes in the other washtub or with a hose

  • Wring out

  • Put on the clothes rack or line so the sun can bleach it further and it can dry

  • We usually throw it in the wash after this, so we can dry it and it is fresh, clean, and stain free

We have five children and this stain remover has always worked on all of our stains. So far our clothes have not met a stain that our laundry detergent and stain remover hasn't been able to remove. We use it on cloth diapers too. We hope you love our homemade laundry detergent and stain remover as much as we do. And, you can have peace knowing there are no harmful ingredients in it!
